Frequently command packs will provided standard bearers with actual standards. I know most of you out there frown upon using "stock" flagpoles, too fat, too easily bent, etc. Simply get your stock flagpole wire inserted into the flag leaving a bit near the top empty, cut off the filial from the stock pole and glue that is place, Voila!!! In lieu of that I also bought a bunch of 25mm spearmen and used their spears. |

In 15mm I always replace flagpoles with stronger metal. Make the scarves from used (yes!!!) slightly flattish waxed dental floss. Tie longish piece on top of pole then cut both ends to correct length with scissors. They will fan out nicely a little as you cut. leave sticking out horizontal to paint the scarf. Then bend down to lie vertical against flag when paint is dry. Varnish as you varnish the figure. Flags with scarves look really nice in 15mm and my method is easy and effective. |
