The blue highlights on what could look dull coats are what we would expect from you, great. But what about the stripes on the overalls……someone has a steady hand.

Basing too. A nice mixture of graft tufts, stones and gravel and flock grass. I always overdo my bases, however much I try to learn from experience.

Not tempted by the howitzer? That poor chap with his arm shoved right in!

Excellent piece. I always end up looking at your work 3 or 4 times. You paint white beautifully – and the blue striped trousers are superb!
What colours did you use for the base? They are a perfect contrast with the grass.
