Hi

Just got my notification of shipment of my Starter set, I can't wait to try these rules out.

Tony S29 Nov 2018 2:37 p.m. PST

*sigh* A few days after I ordered, the postal service of my home and native land (Canada) announced they were not accepting any foreign packages. Although the government rammed through some back to work legislation, the union is guessing it might be March before the Black Friday/Christmas backlog is gone.

Well, let me live vicariously through you; please let us know what you think! I'm honestly a bit worried about the scale, as I think 1:600 might be more suitable. But then again, I think platoon level games are best played in 15mm and not in 28mm, so what do I know?

Schogun29 Nov 2018 8:14 p.m. PST

I am still torn. I bought some 1/600 from PT Dockyard then bought the Wargames Illustrated with the free sprue. The Cruel Seas 1/300 are indeed beautiful. And on a large table *could* work.

But seeing Wackmole9's post, I broke down and just ordered the starter set.

I'm a gamer…

Ps. Tony. Sorry to hear about your situation. Btw I think 15mm is best for platoons as well!

I asked for the starter set for Christmas. I hope my kids get it for me :)

I have to be pretty directive with my kids. : )

Ordered Thursday. Shipping notification today.

My copy arrived today.

Very happy to have it, but I somehow misconstrued that the play mat would be of the cloth/mouse pad variety instead of paper.

Feels a bit underwhelming for the $190 USD shelled out for the collector's edition – still, I look forward to painting and playing.

My Cruel Seas order arrived today. I plan to inventory and then take a break to read the rules.
