All, Google turned up a couple of TMP discussions from a few years ago. What do folks consider the best, most accurate ranges of Gladiators available today? Nick |

I think the Crusader Miniatures range seems to be the most accurate based on what I've seen. They keep the fanciful gladiator types limited to thier "characters" pack, which appear to be inspired by the Russell Crowe movie Gladiator. |

The new Kingsford Gladiators look spot on from what I know, but they are almost $8.00 USD each USD! |

My gladiators are all Crusader but I do have some Foundry to add some extra poses and fill in gladiator types that Crusader doesn't carry (e.g. cestus). |

Agree about Crusader, they're very nice! Foundry has some good ones too, but far too many exotic types mixed in. |

Foundry and Crusader both have a good mix. Agree with the Foundry packs having too many exotics. However, I took all of them and sold them off on eBay for more than I paid. I think Foundry has a Christmas promo going on now which may make them more attractive. |

Sculpting-wise, Foundry are still the best.weapons-wise probably Crusader. |

Have any of you see the Kingsford Gladiators? |

I'm a little floored by the price, but those Kingsford gladiators do look good. |

Irregular do a pretty well researched range at only £1.20 GBP a piece. |

But in defense of the Kingsford line they are only going to sell one of each figure to a collector. So the pricing has to be different than massed produced figures where the cost is shared through a higher production rate. |

But in defense of the Kingsford line they are only going to sell one of each figure to a collector ? I would think any line of gladiators is only going to sell one each. I can't envision someone ordering six of the same pack of Foundry or Crusader gladiators. The reason I didn't mention Kingsford is that they only have seven gladiators in the range. I also think the legs on the them look a little short and stumpy. Maybe its the camera angle. I do like some of the poses though. The Crusader range is your best buy and in most cases you get two each of different gladiators in each pack. The Foundry ones become more competitive with their Christmas deal but you still get some "noise" in each pack. But you can always sell those off. |

I'll second Green Tiger. Because I'm a cheap bast*rd, I got mine from Irregular and was pleasantly surprised. They painted up quite well, although none of them have earned their rudis yet. |

I looked at the Irregular Gladiators, and did not find them at all accurate from what I've read. |

Thanks all for the comments. I decided to go with the Brigade Games Gladiators, and ordered 3 packs. |
