Neat website. I still would like more detail. For example what tanks and it what mix were assigned to the various regiments. Were the infantry portes or regular? But a great high level summary. |

I have a spreadsheet with this info but can't find the original source, which was on the internet. Comes from one of Stephen Zaloga's books. To be honest I suspect that it is not an entirely accurate list of what was available to each formation but what SHOULD have been available. If nobody comes up with the site where it can be found e-mail me though my website and i'll send you a copy. I can send as an .XLS or .PDF, let me know which. Tony of TTT tinytintroops.co.uk |

I recently found this. link Unfortunately it's in French, but it's not too difficult to work out what's what. |

I copied one of the above links but all I got was the associated photo from above plus some adverts and some clickbait. I guess I need to sign up to photobucket to see anything beyond that? |

A short answer would be (IIRC): Only the DLMs (Light Mechanized Divisions) had Somuas; they also had H-35 or H-39 light tanks, I believe. Only the DCRs (Armored Divisions) had B-1s and/or B-1bis, as well as the H-35 or 39 light tanks. Independent tank battalions apparently had mostly R-35 and FT-17 light tanks. Light Cavalry divisions apparently had AMC and AMR (self-propelled machinegun) very light tanks. As usual, there were probably exceptions. |

Try this link …. link It has a long list of the tanks strengths for all nations at the start of Fall Gelb further down the discussion. The list of sources looks good. I also found a PDF by David Lehmann – search for 'French tank strength 1940' and go about half-way down page 2 to find it. Tony of TTT |

I think it's pretty clear at the bottom of my post: Contact me on mgkmilsims@gmail.com. Then I can tell you more about them: I am not a commercial firm. Here is a sample page for interest. Its one page of the 187 for the French Army. Note that it is a screen shot; the actual work is obviously clearer. Details all units, including armoured. If you need this type of detail on any of the armies listed above, these will be very useful. [URL=https://s156.photobucket.com/user/4167MGK/media/2018-11-23_zpsl2zjnvbz.png.html]
