Lloyd Eaker from Dallas ran an ancients game at the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) annual war-gaming show held 9-11 November in Austin Texas. Lloyd uses Mediterranean Empires.
The battle of Sentinum was the decisive battle of the Third Samnite War, fought in 295 BC. Between the Romans and a coalition army of Samnite and Gauls.
This is early in the Republic and the Romans are not the army they will become.
Plus this is one of the few battles the Gauls used chariots.
The rules are my own to fight large historical battles using 28mm figures.
