Finally Spithead Miniatures have completed the last of the 8 ship sets for the Lissa 1866 project, these vessels make up the Austrian 2nd Division consisting of six frigates and the Line of Battle ship "Kaiser" that engaged the Italian ironclads towards the rear of their line. Although badly damaged in the battle the Kaiser limped into port and was quickly repaired and made ready for action on the following day.

The first 12 sets of Lissa ships we made have now been sold to existing customers and the moulds are destroyed , however I would like to make another complete set of new moulds and continue producing these unusual models but first we need to recruit a certain number of new customers to make this investment worthwhile. We would like to take names of supporters interested in eventually buying a full set of ships. As the cost of buying so many models in one go is prohibitive for most people we plan to make them available in three stages .

Stage 1. The three Austrian and Italian ironclad sets
Stage 2. The Austrian and Italian Frigates of both sides
Stage 3. The Austrian and Italian Avisio's and gunboats.

If you are interested in supporting this second issue then please contact us at the address below
It is unlikely that you will see a full set of ships for this battle ever being made again so if you are interested in obtaining a set then please send us an Email and we will send you the breakdown of the total cost.
