Waterloo??? If so, what's up with the river and bridge? That hill is rather sad looking…this looks to be a division of two brigades of three battalions each…where's the rest of the Waterloo armies? |

Follow the link to see more pictures and it does look as though there are Light troops skirmishing ahead, but with white epaulettes and fringes. May be unfinished work. The background baffled me too. But that is the peril of just posting the images. No harm in that, if it brings folk to the site. Here, this chap has painted over 300 figures which he INTENDS to use in a Waterloo game as his contribution. This is just a preview, not itself an attempt to capture the bridge at Genappe (a tiny little thing in truth). Cannot quite work out who these are. At first I thought Light Infantry Regt, blue lapels throughout I think. Then I thought Young Guard. Funny thing, never identified in the text. |
