I wonder if that will shift with the release of Ares' Battlestar Galactica game (hoping to get my copy on Saturday!)

Not the best, just the most popular

It is a good fun game.

Not a surprise. Simple rules, even if you haven't played for a few months, and good fun win or lose.

We use it as a filler game, at the end of a session, if there is still a reasonable amount of time to get a game in.

I've stopped buying product now, I have 50+ ships (probably 20 too many), plus a 6 x 4 mat: Because we only play it half a dozen times a year, perhaps ten hours of gaming time in total, we never get overly familiar (or bored) with the ships. I think if you played it every week, it might get a bit samey unless you constantly bought new ships, and even then, I think it would wear on you after a while.

Not even sure it's the most popular, but is perhaps the one with the widest product distribution.

It's a pretty good game, but I hate the cards. You have to buy packs you don't want just to get the right cards!

Hi Landorl,

Look up 'X-Wing Squadron Builder'. I use it to 'build' the stats for all of my fleets (it also tots up all the points values, etc.). All the cards (but not in physical card form) are available there, with full descriptions, as roster sheet additions, so you only really need the ships and tokens. I bought a lot of my ships on ebay without cards because they are all available on this site for free.

Squadron Builder means you get all of the info about your 'fleet', ship by ship, on one or two pieces of paper, so it's much easier to navigate your stats.

You can't use it for 'official style' public tournaments, as they insist on having real cards in play, or privately with the 'anally challenged' but, hey ho, I don't do either.
