I don't remember the rules author but he wrote a set called Overlord. The fighting is based in Normandy only and he lists different morale levels for the unit types present in Normandy.

I think it was a company-level ruleset. Could be platoon.

Anyone know where to find the set currently?

Was that by Barrie Lovell of Firebase Games?

Can't find the rules anywhere. Rare indeed.

ASL, Battlegroup and Schwere Kompanie seem to be the closest matches to his style of rules.

I never bought Overlord, but the Eastern Front set, Grey Storm Red Steel. I no longer have the hard copy, but fortunately scanned it in a few years ago.

Barrie sold the rights to the rules to a company in the US, who then just sat on them and have no intention of printing them.

Huh, I just picked up a copy of Overlord second hand!

1" = 10 meters
1 turn = 2.5 minutes
1:1 figure/vehicle ratio
Riflemen based in groups of 3 or 4 on a 1.5 x 1" base

Other figures mounted on various sizes.

Highly detailed mechanics. Infantry morale chart has a list of 24 modifiers.

Included counter sheet has 12 different counters for Morale Test, Halt, Overwatch, Rout etc.

My copy is copyright 2001 Brookhurst Hobbies. My guess is they sold too slow to make a reprint profitable. Maybe a PDF on Wargame Vault instead? Can't hurt to ask…

We'd be happy to sell them, either by pdf or print on demand!

No way to get these apart from second hand. Vault support would be welcome!

Mine is 1994 Firebase Games Extra Crispy. Wonder if yours was a straight reprint or some changes made.

Just judging by looks, I'd guess not…
