Not much turns up on google images for Vistula Legion 18mm. 28mm has the beautiful Paul Hicks sculpts from Murawski Miniatures – but there seems no equivalent in 18mm, although if you want post apocalyptic Vistula Legion SiFi in 15/18mm there seem to be a few pictures of them…

My best guess, ignoring the Fantassin 2 posed set, is that AB Bardin French or Eureka Bardin French are the go, and either greenstuff sunburst shako plates or a paint conversion on a flat-filed shako. Has anyone done anything else – or gone further with the conversion of AB/Eureka?

If you want Czapka grenadiers as I do, it seems AB GDW grenadiers in Czapka might work, with modifications to give a Bardin look.

Would love to see pictures of anyone's work!

Do you mean Vistula Legion or Duchy of Warsaw? Murawski in 28mm do the latter, not the former. Not much difference by the time you get to 15/18mm, I once thought….but I now never cease to be amazed by the quality of mouldings

I used AB's Grand Duchy of Warsaw 1812 – 1814 range. They looked good enough for me. Just painted the sunbursts. They look good.

Buy one and try it, thats the adavantage of dealing with Eureka Miniatures (the licensees for AB), you can buy just one or whatever number you need of a figure, none of the stupid packaging.

Hello Deadhead

nsolomon99 ah yes the practical solution! Got lazy and thought I would check with what others did first. Really no excuse as like you I live in NSW and buying a few figures from Nic is a sinch!

Cheers JJ

AB does make Vistula Legion cavalry in 18mm but not the infantry.

As noted above you could use the infantry from the Grand Duchy of Warsaw range but they have the wrong headgear.

Would Saxon infantry work?

I got that the other way around and was wrong. Murawski indeed do the infantry of Vistula Legion, but not the cavalry (for Albuera)

OK, I was…nearly..right…nearly
