What if asteroid Oumuamua had really been the Galactica entering our Solar system … 1) How would today's humans on Earth react? 2) How would the human Colonial crew and passengers onboard react? 3) How would the Cylon skinjobs on board the ship react? Would they override our nukes and launch them against ourselves? 4) Could it form the basis of a game? 5) If so, in space or on the ground? Or both? 6) Which rules would you use? 7) Which figures? 1. We would argue about whether it was an asteroid or comet until someone thinks it might be a solar sail. In any event it would zip past and be out of range of our telescopes and chemical rockets before we could figure out what it really was. 2. Apparently, they would get a good look at the earth they had been looking for so long and would decide to quietly zip by us and keep on looking for somewhere else to live. 3. Apparently, they would get a good look at us and quietly zip by us without a second thought, probably figuring we'd more than likely finish ourselves off so why bother with us. 4. Sure. What can't be turned into a game these days? 5, Probably both depending on your mood. That seems to be how we figure out which restroom to use these days. Why not apply the same decision making process to games? 6. Rules are so stifling. Go with your feelings. As long as everyone wins the game and there are no losers. Participation is what counts. 7. Scratch built figures. |

@Wackmole9: Do you mean 6? Or 8? 6 is the blonde (Tricia hilfer). 8 is Boomer (Grace Park). The others are 1 – 7 and the final five don't really have numbers. Saul, Anders, Tory, Ellen, Tyrol. Maybe Saul really revs your engines? The eye patch does give him a sexy pirate kind of vibe in later seasons if you are into that kind of thing. Who am I to judge? |

6, 7(of9), or even 8. Whatever number @Wackmole9 means, he is still winning. |

Well, if it looked like Oumuamua, I don't think we'd let into our orbit until they cleaned off the results of what was obviously a sewage tank explosion covering them… :-p |

Perhaps it is, or was, something like it, and that's what remains after the Cylons pulverized it with nukes and energy beams. |

You. Issued he part where they come to Earth with flying motorcycles to bore us to death. goo.gl/images/cb6CaQ |

Thresher01: "Perhaps it is, or was, something like it, and that's what remains after the Cylons pulverized it with nukes and energy beams." LOL. I like how you think! The pile of radioactive debris would have to go somewhere. Dan |

That's classified … But I'd still like a #9 of my own ! Or 7 of 9 too … |

Well, considering that is the Battlestar from the original series then there would be no "skin jobs". Our computer tech is better than theirs, but their ships are obviously better than theirs. Put them together and build a fleet to return to the colonies to save whoever is left and put a hurting on the Cylons! (but only if it is the original series that shows up) |

I'd settle for her older sister, 6 of 9….. ;-) |
Daricles | 07 Nov 2018 7:41 p.m. PST |
Alright. This begs the question: What would happen if the borg encountered the Cylons? I mean, after the awesome fight between 6 and 7 of 9 broke out and 8 jumped in to break it up and just gets drawn into a three way cat fight. Does anyone think T'pol would just stand by and watch? |

I'd like to hear how, if it's not an alien "something", your average, run of the mill asteroid, got that shape. |
Cacique Caribe | 08 Nov 2018 5:01 a.m. PST |
Thresher01 Perhaps … there might still some alien mining equipment left on that carved rock! And a few stragglers and their hungry "pets". :) Dan TMP link TMP link link |

Thresher01, if this can happen naturally then a galactica shaped asteroid is pretty unremarkable: link |

The opening image is pretty cool, but it looks more like the new series Galactica shape to me. |
