I've just finished a Medieval Syrian (IV/6a) DBA Army using Legio Heroica for the mounted figures and Khurasan for the foot.

Very nice indeed! Last weekend I actually played a BBDBA game with my Armenian army against a Syrian army, with some Seljuk allies. Although the Syrians were Essex, my Armenians were all from Legio Heroica, and I really was impressed with how nice the figures are!

But your painted cavalry very clearly shows that!

Thanks, guys. The Legio Heroica are lovely figures; the ghulams, in particular, have inspired me to get more figures to morph this army (Khurasan foot for Samanids initially, but possibly some Legio Heroica Fatimids at some stage).
