Hi all ! Starting a new project, i was planning to run the Mc Pherson's ridge scenario from Scott mingus Enduring Valor.
But i'm in trouble with the regimental strenght given for the Iron Brigade :
2 Wisconsin 411 men, others sources gives 340 men
6 Wisconsin 309 men, others sources 340 men
7 Wisconsin 255 men, 370 men on other source
19 Indiana 298 men, 339men other sources
24 Michigan 284 men, others sources gives 496 men
Someone could help me to make the more accurate choice ?

I can't speak to the actual numbers, have seen widely varying counts, but I know that Scott Mingus does outstanding research and he made estimates from multiple sources. If you check other resources, you will find different #s. I would recommend going with Scott's.

Those numbers look high to me. The 24th was 1/2 the Brigade strength at time.

Thank you for the answer. In terms of sticking to Scott Mingus' numbers, that was my intention

That 284 for the 24th Michigan has to be waaaay off.

According to Busey and Martin – Regimental Strengths at Gettysburg:

1,898 on June 30th, 1,829 engaged.

19th Indiana – 339/308
24th Michigan – 511/496
2nd Wisconsin – 321/302
6th Wisconsin – 342/344
7th Wisconsin – 370/364

plus 15 in the brigade band

Buckeye's numbers are spot on. From the "Bible".
