My ImagiNations armies are a little different from most of those on here. One of them isn't really imaginary, either.

Rather than European states, I'm creating Indian armies. It startedwith the HFG lists for the Maratha Wars, which don't really reflect my reading of the wars, and I disagree strongly with composition of the Maratha list. However, it is a good army for a Country Power imagi-nation, and the obvious opponent is John Company (the HEIC).

I think C18th India offers a great deal of scope for ImagiNations. There are imperial native states, successor states, European trading companies and mercenaries, superpower competition (England and France) and backing for different factions or pretenders, all in a land of wealth, mystery and intrigue. And you get exotic troop types that you don't in Europe. What could be better?

Utilises lost knowledge and sciences and a myriad of troop types and tactics. Decided to reveal itself from the 1720's on due to the strife in Europe, the Mid-East and Asia. still thinkin'….
