Some pics. I took of a game I played today at our local store in Connecticut. Rules used were The 9th Age, the fan-made and community-supported rules system that carries on the tradition of classic Warhammer style mass fantasy battles: This was a 4,500 point battle with myself and another player each with 2,250 points of dwarves and elves vs. the third player with 4,500 of purely Empire. The terrain is mostly my own and made from scratch with the exception of the pine forests which are my friend's, and the building which is a conversion I made from two Tabletop World buildings that are combined into a single structure. Everyone brought their own armies to the game and all were very nicely painted. Overall it was a very interesting and fun battle for everyone involved! Link to gallery and more pics: link

Thanks everyone! @Capt. Flash, Yes indeed, Battlegrounds in Norwalk! Do you live in Ct? We would love to have you be a part of our next game day! If you want to PM me with contact info, I'll keep you posted as to when our next game will be. As of right now we don't have another day planned yet. We try to get to the store as close to opening time as possible. Steve (Mr. Owl on The 9th Age member site) and I sometimes meet during week day afternoons, but we realize not everyone can meet up during the work week so we'll plan group stuff on Sat.or Sundays. Hope we can eventually meet up! |
