Here's an oldie but a goodie. It's Leading Edge Game's Aliens the board game redone computer game style. I think it has both the original game and the expansion. It plays like the original board game but with Aliens music playing in the background along with the sound effects! As you can guess, it can be rather intense!! link I thought I would put it up in case anyone wants to play. It's a great game and this is a nice way to play the game without a few hundred dollar investment!! |

@Cacique Caribe It uses Adobe Flash Player, so not iPad friendly and since Flash is on the way out it won't be playable on anything for much longer. Enjoy it while it lasts! |

I don't know how faithfully it adapts the boardgame, but it's really enjoyable; I downloaded it to play offline years ago. As an extra test on the first mission/scenario, rather than immediately extricating the marines, see how many aliens you can kill with your limited ammunition. If memory serves, I managed 140+ on a couple of occasions. |

It's pretty faithful to the boardgame.
Aliens moved towards the closest human (on solo play mode).
Flame killed without acid spray (human within 1 square of an alien kill usually got acid sprayed).
Smartgun good for long range kill.
Pistol was a much of muchness v fist icon (only good up close, and even then it was risk acid splash or get killed in combat anyway.
Shotgun was good outside of splash range. |
