"If we have hit our target by midnight on October 31st, everyone who has pledged will be invoiced for 50% of your order. Our sculptor will be given the go-ahead and we'll get them done through Nov/Dec/Jan. We'll then get them moulded and start sending out customer orders at the end of February 2019. Everyone will be invoiced for the remaining 50% + shipping once their order is ready to go."

As it wouldn't sit well with Archduke Charles to have his field music playing Der Hohenfriedsburger while passing in review, what marching tunes would one find in the Austrian SYW manual of field music?

There's not a,lot to go on with Austrian military music in the 18th Century.

I have a couple of CDs of 19th C. Austrian military music, and after the Radetsky March the selections are rather hideous to listen to. I had hoped for something better, but it doesn't exist.

Sells CDs, though they come and go, not always in stock. Beware of the general tittle and check inside, oftenl ots of 19th cty stuff. Of course mostly Prussian. But I got there a CD of Austrian fifes etc. good psy warfare when playing my Kaiserlicks. Also Pruusian syw regimental musics!

Sorry for the mis-post, first time in a few years. Thanks for the responses. @ jcfrog; I was also thinking of a bit of psy-ops while gaming, that's where I was going with this. "Duke 6, Eagle Thrust; put on PsyWar op, make it loud! Romeo Foxtrot, shall we dance!"

Too early for Walkyries.

Not suggesting helos, mind you; just tunes one would expect Austrian troops to march to. I knew a guy once who had Highland troops and liked to usher them across the table into an assault with pipe and drum tunes. Not sure whether it was more annoying or unsettling.

Had this same problem some years ago. The Radetsky March as I recall was for later 19th century around 1840s or 1850s not early 19th century, wrong period. I know it's also the wrong period but I'm still rather partial to Wagner although he is also mid to late 19th century. Nice martial music though.
Though the way I play, the theme from The Three Stooges is more apropos.

PS, if you use Wagner you can always substitute the Warner Bros version of the lyrics, Ahem!

Kill da Wabitt!
Kill da Wabitt!
KILL DA WABITT!

etc. etc. etc.
