Greetings all, I have loads of British-written personal accounts of the Battle of Britain on my bookshelves, telling what it was like to be in that battle, and their engagements with the Luftwaffe. But I am struggling to find an honest, open account, free of polite Political Correctness from the German perspective. I want truth and honesty. I thought I'd got there with "German Aces Speak", but it was sanitised of anything remotely controversial and personal. Most of it was about political infighting amongst the Luftwaffe command hierarchy. So, a "Reach for the Sky" from a German Vet or two, or "A Bridge too Far" for the Battle of Britain is what I seek. Can anybody recommend a suitable title for me please? Thank you in anticipation |

The only thing that comes to mind is Adolf Galland's memoir _The First and the Last_, but that covers the entire war, not just the B0B. |

I imagine that there's more in German, but little made it into translation. |
