You were asked – TMP link and you said: 20% – "I would give them up without a second thought" 14% – "I would give up only my least favorite metal figures" 14% – "I would reply, 'when you can take them from my cold dead hands!!!'" |

I have. In 2001 I was down literally to the last few cents in my bank account, no job, 3 kids, a blown transmission in my van, and 3 weeks till the next round of bills were due. In two weeks I sold off 3/4 of my collection, hoping to get a month's respite. Garnered enough for 3 months and a fix for the van. Was preparing to let go of the last 1/4 when the miracle job came through. |

I would sell some to put food on the table. I have helped fellow gamers by loaning them money using figures as collateral. One time a colleague said keep the figures, they were well worth it. |

Hey I have tried to GIVE away some of my minis and got no takers! I even got friends that gave up gaming that unloaded their collection on me. Besides my own stuff, I "inherited" some 5,000 40K minis, and maybe 3 to 4,000 15mm Napoleonics (mostly painted!). I would give up most of my old board games if I thought someone really wanted to play them just to clean out my spare bedroom. Kim |
