Quick ZA game Saturday afternoon. Two crews ventured into a deserted town on the Zone's perimeter looking for some quick money.

They traded shots but were mainly focused on salvage. Each cleared a Hots Spot, snagged some loot and bailed before the turn limit. Other Pat was lucky enough to encounter an Anomaly with an Artifact – which was a nice bonus on top of the regular salvage. (too bad he's going to have to hire a new recruit to fill the recent vacancy.)

Wow, I'm really liking those posters and signs!!! I wonder if they would be legible if they were reduced down for 15mm.

Awesome game mat texture too. Perfect for that Old World* look.

Man, I really need to make some modular urban pieces at some point.

Thanks, man.

I really needed a smaller mission area. The 4 x 6 was way too big for just the two of us. I'm so used to setting up for 5 – 6 players.

I'm thinking now I need to make my own 3 x 3 urban surface for ZA demo games.

The painjob is superb too.

Wow, you can really tell I'm more of a terraniac, because my eye always goes to the buildings, the gaming surface and details/accessories first. :)

Thank you. That's my fast and dirty generic military scheme. I figure very few Zone Stalkers have uniforms. Only exception would be the Zone Enforcement patrols.

The terrain is mostly Impudent Mortal's starter ruins. I mount them on mdf to make it quicker/easier to store and position on the table. Add bits and rubble, and you're good to go. I have several other larger buildings from other companies in the wings too. (one I need to finish, in fact.) They'll get some table time soon enough.

The painjob is superb too.

I'm afraid that any substantive response would be NSFW.

I'm sure that pain was involved in those shoot-outs and fights with the dogs and zombies.

I knew what he meant. And yes, there was pain, but far less than expected as we both focused on clearing those hot spots and getting the salvage.

Symbaroum is scheduled for tonight's game. After that, we'll be forming crews and heading back into the Zone for more extensive play tests. So there's more Zona Alfa on the way.

Your PA stuff has gotten really nice.
Who makes the mat?
Ps, you could always just "frame" out a 3x3 area with some foam core or mdf board toi make a smaller play area.

I can't recall where I go that particular mat. Somewhere in Europe. Sorry. I do remember it was intended for Mordheim/Frostgrave and the like.

I also have a 4 x 3 urban mat that'll do nicely. I mistakenly set up for a larger group is all.
