I need to beef up some old units of classic dwarves. My guys are maybe 15mm base to eyeball--only a shade under GW and its competitors--but they're about half the circumference of the current fashion.

Obviously I'll work the flea markets at Fall In, but does anyone still make dwarves in those proportions?

I've been through this process over the last year. Most dwarves are as tall as humans.

I've been trying to match the latest RPE Dwarves (28mm) from their Kickstarter. I like them a lot but they are kind of short comparatively. They are about 18-19mm to the eye.

I finally took a shot on Old Glory dwarves and they seem to match really nicely.

I actually messed up and bought two sets so I'd be willing to part with one if they would work for you. They have separate heads which surprised me.

You might also check out Midlam. Their dwarves are stated at about 22m tall.

Dwarfquest?

LOL. Did someone lose a dwarf? :)

I loose dwarves upon my opponents. But if you lose one, you only have to wait by the nearest mine, smithy or foundry for him to show up. Or tavern, yes.

Problem is recruiting. The low birth rate, you know. And dwarves have put on a LOT of weight over the past 30-40 years. I'm having trouble finding recruits who pass the circumference test to beef up my old Ral Partha and older (Fantastiques?) tribes.

Thanks, Snafu, but I'll have to pass. Still have my heart set on those older, thinner dwarves.
