Good day everyone,

If you go to HMGS conventions, you know about the HAWKs and the awesome program of games they put on at every con. And if you know anything about the HAWKs you know about Buck Surdu -- rules author and organizing force behind the HAWKs' own smaller convention, Barrage.

Recently, at Barrage 2018, Little Wars TV had a chance to talk with Buck and get some insights into the HAWKs and Barrage history. Click below to see the interview! It's a fascinating look at one of the best clubs and regional conventions on the east coast!

Buck has become one of the "grand old men" of the hobby!!
We are losing them and they need to be replaced!!

Thanks for the kind words, Russ. I'm not sure I deserve to be in that category, but if I am, I don't plan on needing to be replaced any time soon. Everyone in my family lives into their nineties; although, they can't usually remember the last five years. :)

I really like their videos, as do several of us here in St. Louis area.

The hobby, as in all things is always in need of leaders and elder statesmen -- not meant to be a comment on a early demise or your actual age. Just to encourage you that you are moving in that direction and how much I have personally witnessed what you have done for the hobby.

Best regards
Russ Dunaway
