The latest Kickstarter campaign from Blind Beggar Miniatures will, if successful, see a number of figures go into a production mould and a Nomad Caravan will emerge.
;)

The Nomad Caravan could work as both a merchant trader and his attendants and guards, or as a Nomad family migrating for pastures new.

There is also the option to enlarge your Caravan by choosing one of the 'PLUS' Pledges which enable other packs from the range to be added to your parcel.

Pop over and take a look and see if you need a Caravan of your own…..

…of course you do.

Played our first game of Crossfire down the club last night. Nothing fancy, just a "take the objective" learning game. We're playing again next week, but with more troops, and correcting a few rules mistakes I made.

How come there are pics of aliens in the main post? Is TMP having teething problems?

There's a long standing bug that results in two or more threads in one.
I suspect however the unique id for a thread is generated is bugged and the ids are not in fact unique.

Hope you had a good game. Crossfire seems to have fallen out of fashion and Arty Conliffe gone quiet over the last few years, but a good set of rules IMHO.

I think a Nomad Caravan could well spark renewed interest in Crossfire.

We have 54mm figures based for Crossfire but with 4 figures instead of 3. Mostly we use our field-stripped version of Bolt Action, but it would be good to have a shot at Crossfire again.

Crossfire got me back into miniatures after a 30 year hiatus playing historical board games. There's much to be admired, but it feels like some elements are a bit undercooked and it would benefit from a v.2. That said, it plays very well as an infantry game, giving quite tense games that keep both players fully engaged. I have no idea how it plays with aliens though :-)

I know some people have used Crossfire with WH40k figures, so as with any decent modernish set, it works for most stuff. Including Aliens.

Those guys don't seem to have guns though, so they might be tad disadvantaged. You'd need to come up with some house rules for the pack animals though (I'd treat them as Russians for C3 with the handler as the Platoon Commander).
