The Michael's near me is carrying Gold Acrylic Ultra Flat spray paint, meant for graffiti art. It paint & primer and has a wide variety of colours. Has anyone used this on figures? Just wondered before I try. Much cheaper than Army Painter (If you use the Michael's coupons) with more colours. |

I have used a copper acrylic spray paint on figures to mixed effect. The coating is a bit thicker than I like so some fine detail could be lost but not enough to stop me from using it again as the finish was first class. It was bought from my local arts store in UK so I'm sure if it's the same as you gold but could be. x42 |

Sorry, the colour isn't gold. The Brand name is Gold. |

I tried some from Black and Gold, if this is the same company (cans black?) the paint is thicker than usual, I lost some detail, and there was a definite tendency to "spatter", giving my vehicles a rough patina… I even tried their different nozzle sizes with same results… (I was painting 28mm GW vehicles) BEAUTIFUL colors though!! chris |

Thanks Chris. Yes Black & Gold (Those cans are gold: simple marketing). Wondering about the thickness. I was going to use it on figures rather than vehicles. May hold off or look back through some old stuff to test. |

I even had a really good painter friend try it on some test figures he had the same outcome… I think its just too thick for our world :) Chris |
