I regret to report that Lieutenant Hawking's Supply Column was attacked at Van Deers Farm on 10 October 1898/2018 with great loss of life. ---------- My report is here: link ---------- My briefly captioned photos and personal dialogue quickly explain events and results as usual. ---------- Rules: The Sword and The Flame 20th ed. Miniatures: 28mms for the most part. Terrain: Colorful, expansive and interesting. ---------- I hope you enjoy the report, Bill P. Chronicler for General Pettygree ---------- PS This was posted on the 19th C. Discussion Board a few days ago. The system here malfunctioned before I could crosspost to other boards. So I waited a bit. This is my second try to spread things around to followers of my stories. |

Nice write up but most of the native figures aren't Zulus. |

Dashed clever, those Zulus, disguising themselves to confuse the Brits |

Histori-Figs owner Mike Taber granted us the opportunity to show and use Jack Scruby's Mafrica Map. A portion appears in the AAR. --- Jack Scruby's concept adapted the Second Period of Colonization on one imagineered continent featured shifting alliances of native and Imperial powers. Hence in our first game we have Zulus allied with Masai though historically the two were separated by more than 2,500 miles. Oh, and some Hadendowah lurked around a bit too. In Mafrica this does not matter. Plus, we adopted the "Old School" principle of use miniatures we have ready and available. --- Our Zulu player is laboring away on about 200 Zulus. They will be stunning given his talents. --- Respectfully, Bill P. Chronicler for General Pettygree |

Huzzah, an update of the General's (mis)adventures! How horrible for the Van Deers, though… Will we see an Imperial reprisal? |
