We're conveniently forgetting that Libya was a Russian client state before Gaddafi was toppled by a western-imposed No Fly Zone. Putin's merely trying to regain what traditionally was his sphere of influence in the first place. |

The West having a hand in toppling Gaddafi did not help the West. What were they thinking? Who was responsible? Did some Western oil execs think they could just move on in once Gaddafi was overthrown? Let the Russians have it; and let it be a history lesson on how to NOT conduct foreign policy. |
