We had an excellent game of Spearhead last week playing a conversion of the Rapid Fire scenario "Take the Twin Villages" from the Battle of the Bulge book. Read all about it at link |

Nice report. It is interesting, how you play infantry heavy battles with Spearhead. I usually cant resist to have mostly tanks. |

Debalus – what I've found is that if I want to get through a game in an evening at the club, some of the players may be less experienced than others. Rapid Fire scenarios are a reasonable size (certainly more so than the published Spearhead scenarios!!!), and giving everyone a Battalion each means we can finish the game in about 3 hours. The other thing is that smaller games makes people more inclined to protect their assets, and use their support elements in a much more historic way. Feedback from the players has been excellent so far, and I have found the games much more enjoyable as a result. I do plan some bigger games later in the year – I already have enough toys painted! |
