Here is the second game I hosted at Hurricon. Again, it was a blast. Plenty of Gunboat action in this one. I hope you like it. Last Stand Dan

Great stuff!

Glad to see the new gunboat models – and happy to get a model I can use for HMS Avon (F class, with some added armor)!

Good looking game and I like how you represent the river.

It was a great game right up till my ship slid under the waves . Not to mention all the crocodiles !

Dan, your games and AAR's are always a highlight for me. They're fun, well thought out and beautiful to behold. Your gunboats and dhows are simply amazing.

This really was a fun game! I do believe our "Gunboat & Dhow!" rules work well and are big fun. Though they are designed to be used for my favorite set of rules "The Sword And The Flame" they can be used independently or in conjunction with any other land based games with very minor mods.

Dan's AAR was so well done that I don't think I'm going to bother doing one myself…besides he's already used all MY pictures, LOL!

Cheers,
JB

Jeff and Dan , Your rules ( Gunboats & Dhow ) do seem to work out quite well . The right amount of realism and fun make these perfect to go alone with so many rules and time periods . They of course worked flawlessly with The Sword And The Flame ! Cheers to both of you !

Ah, someone mentioned the river tiles we use. Those are 18" Aspen Gray adhesive floor tiles. We just don't take off the backing. Easy to cut for curves, etc. They are less than $2 USD a tile from Lowe's hardware store. I also use them for bases on my own boats and many players out there have also adopted them. Thanks for asking.

Dan
