If some of this stuff had been written, or shown in a fictional movie, I imagine many/most wouldn't believe it.
It appears few things are too far fetched not to be considered for your next pulp, modern fiction, or imagination games:
1. Blue Thunder (the movie – look it up, you young whippersnappers) – drug cartels and other bad guys firing on police helicopters, just like in the movies, and then, said well-armed helos in many cases, firing back on the bad guys, on remote streets, and even in populated city areas.
2. Mariachi Band Assassins – yes, they are a real thing. I'll never watch another one the same way, again. Wonder when this one will make it into the movies?
3. A nation state kidnaps and disappears the head of Interpol. He sends a cryptic message to his wife, with a sharp knife emoji/image. Presumably, that's a signal to her that his life is in danger.
4. A journalist goes missing, and it's believe he's killed at the embassy, chopped up into small pieces (15+), and his body is scattered to the four winds.
5. Another nation's head sets up a secret lab, organization, and process to aid his Olympic athletes to conduct widespread blood doping, so they can win more medals. Where's 007 when you need him?
6. Opponents of the current world leader are dying all over the planet, from mysterious accidents, poisonings, and radiation exposures. Everyone knows who is doing it, and yet he continues to get away with it. Get 008 on the case, now.
7. Another world leader has his half-brother murdered, with a deadly nerve-agent applied to his face by a team of female assassins, so he can't become a backup option for opponents.
