Hello – I've just started a new blog to encourage me to get back to practical wargaming after years of looking on from the sidelines. It's early days yet, but don't hesitate to comment and give me advice on making it better. Thanks

Look at Young's Blastoff Bridge, or Grant's Action for starter scenarios.

Nice start

I "converted" a very similar fish ornament to a castle for use in Warmaster games a few years back…

Looking forward to seeing how your project develops!

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I certainly shall add Blastoff Bridge to the battles I'll be preparing. Sometime in the 70s, I think, I'd a copy of "Charge" but can't remember what happened to it. But I've seen Blasthoff and Sittangbad mentioned in other blogs, which will get me the details required. Any more details for "Grant's Action, please? I have Charles S. Grant's "Wargame Scenarios" which will give me a few ideas as well.

The castle's a bit of a distraction as I've no battles planned which will feature it. But it was cheap and had potential, so couldn't resist it!

How the project will develop? Well, I intended to post every day but, on just the second day, have just realised this won't always be possible! But I will keep at it to ensure I prepare something regularly to take a picture of and submit…

Thanks again.

Grant wrote "The Wargame" which had both a small scenario and a larger battle- it also has campaign instructions. Grant and his son also wrote several scenario books.
