I was wondering there were any cases during the Crusades in the Holy Land that the Saracens used War Elephants against the Franks?

I don't recall any.

No.

No record of it

If only they had used just one, even just once! Then every Saracen army on every table for every war game game would have had one!! A pity…

I think I'll start a Crusades era Saracen army just so I can purposely field TWO war elephants (cuz that's how many I have) just to thumb my nose at the naysayers!

I don't recall there being any either--but it could have slipped my mind…

Sandinista10 Oct 2018 11:10 p.m. PST

But no one said there weren't any…

Or the invasion of Spain and Portugal centuries earlier! (and the failed attempt at France – thank you Charles Martel!)

bilsonius11 Oct 2018 7:26 p.m. PST

Maybe they did a "reverse Semiramis" and disguised their elephants as camels…??
