I posted the background fluff for a mini-campaign set in my bigger Post-apoc campaign on my blog today. For those who might have followed along with my campaign, it involves the crew of the Goat (an armored car) going on a long range recon mission exploring the wasteland frontier to the east of the Confederation, located at:

Sounds a bit like the series of novels titled "Deathlands", where a group of men and women ride in armored vehicles all over post nuke America. They meet lots of bad guys and mutations, and get themselves into various adventurous situations. At least that's how the series starts. Eventually the group is whittled down to one small band of survivors who discover "portals" that allow them to make "jumps" to other faraway locations, but they have no idea where, because the "jumps" appear to be random.

It's a great post nuke series. I'm 30 plus books into it, with *many* more to go.

What's the Goat?

Plenty of pictures should be coming soon.

I have the Deathlands series on my list of PA/Sci-fi reading, but haven't got to it yet.

The goat is an armored car, built/re-built mostly from salvaged parts from an old military base, some years after the apocalyptic collapse.

"Deathlands" is a long series. Be sure to start with the first novel in the series and read them in order, as there is some character development and character changes.
