"The 21st century battlefield is rapidly unfolding as data-driven warfare rather than manpower driven. Multiple satellites and probes in orbital space provide real-time data to an individual soldier in today's frontlines. Dominance in the data-driven battlefield of the future is fueling the space ambitions of emerging powers such as China. In this race, Reusable Launch Vehicles (RLV) are viewed as a disruptive technology that may catapult China to a major power player…."

First, the Chinese produce an ancient map "proving" that outer space is actually a lost province of theirs. Then it's only a matter of time before their shuttles start playing "chicken" with our shuttles.

I believe that may be the most accurate prediction I've heard uttered by anyone in a very long time, about any subject. Probably ever! :)

That, and that the sun will rise again tomorrow. Yours is probably more solid than that one even.

Maybe they'll say that the "1421" map is proof that we are trespassing on their property.

Our eviction notice will follow soon after.

We'll win, I suspect, of course, and then they'll just copy our design which they'll still over the internet, like everything else, including the F-35's plans.

I imagine that will be due to their strategy of letting us "do the heavy lifting" (get it – pun intended), first, so they can allocate their billions/trillions to other things in the race for global and near-space supremacy.

Having the plans doesn't mean that you can copy the stuff.

Compare the Russian-made Flanker engines to the Chinese copies. The Chinese engines are heavier, slower to spin up to power, far less fuel-efficient, and far less reliable.
