A hotel located in Bangkok features a room dedicated entirely to Nazi leader and mass murderer Adolf Hitler… link |

You don't get a mini-bar, but you do get a drawer full of tiny moustache combs (and yes, they do expect the guests to steal some…) |

Can you watch 'Springtime For Hitler' while drinking a one-ball martini? |

Whatever sells of course … sadly … And as a sidebar generally Thailand was effected very little from Hitler's reign. So they may not get "it" from their standpoint, location, etc. |

Not that unusual for Thailand. My stepson had a bag that had images of Hitler with something like "Warlord Hitler" written on it. There were similar bags for sale with Stalins image and others. No-one here has mentioned the Communist room at the same place and as Legion 4 says they had little impact on Thailand. |

On the flip side I've seen people from a host of world cultures get upset at parts of their culture that we don't take seriously too. |

Very true … As always many things depend on where one comes from and what beliefs they were brought up with, etc. |

In Thailand, for example, be careful where you point your feet… pointing your feet at someone is discourteous or even seen as casting a curse on them. |

Yes, case in point as Bill pointed out … There are a number of locales in Africa, the Mid East, rural Europe, the Far East, etc., etc., where similar actions the "outsiders"/visitors could make. I.e. a seemingly "harmless" comment, gesture or action could be misinterpreted as offensive, etc. Even in the US South, in some places don't say anything negative about R.E. Lee !
