I was just surfing around and went to the Ironclad Games web site: quietmartianfront.com

Everything appears to be sold out and PHGamer seems to be the only person posting anything at all.

Is All Quiet on the Martian Front officially dead?

Miniaturemarket has a lot of stuff.

Wow. Were they always priced like that or are these just new "collector item" prices?

About double the previous prices.

There is a dedicated group of players over on the unofficial fan site.

Prices aren't double, but they aren't discounted at all. And some do seem elevated….

I was going to pick up some martian stuff for a little "Mars V.S. World" WW2 gaming…and then I saw the prices. I can only afford one GW in my life right now thanks.

Is that why they went out of business then? They got too greedy?

I have been buying some this year. It looks to me like some prices went up and I don't see any discounts on them anymore. I am glad I bought most of what I need. The really expensive single vehicles are giant vehicles compared to the basic steam tanks and are made of resin and metal. As I understand it, the owner of Miniature Markets bought the Martian Front stuff out of bankruptcy and now owns the molds etc. I am in St. Louis, Missouri, USA where MM is located.

Rules don't die until no-one plays them any more.

Doctor: "The Glorious Forces of Supply and Demand at work."

Exactly. If the manufacturing company charges too much and don't sell, they don't make money. If they don't sell well and regularly, then that's clear indication that the market won't bear it. They just collect dust. Only the really desperate will buy, and only sporadically.

Now, if the new owners market them as collector's items, all bets are off. Occasionally someone might buy them, as one of a kind pieces.

I don't think anyone in this industry is greedy. If they were, they would be in an industry that actually involves significant amounts of money.

Martian Front stalled because the kick-starter killed the original company. The new owners seem like great guys, but it is notoriously difficult to generate new buzz on a game that went out of production once. I've got $400 USD worth of painted, assembled stuff that has never seen the tabletop. I can't tell you why, but momentum is part of wargaming.

Out of curiosity, who owns AQotMF?Ironclad Games or Miniatures Market? I've seen the Ironclad Games guys at various HMGS conventions. I have the box set and hardback rules but probably plan on selling them off at Wally's this Fall In.

The concept great – I bought the kickstarter but the rules by another GW refugee designer were mediocre (though with some goods points like using d10).

Best way to restart is all new rules but USING the same MINIs.
