link Evening readers, For your delight and delectation YG presents my set up for this classic Napoleonic Peninsula battle. A good balanced game in which both sides have a good chance, usually quite bloody too. First outing for my GdeB / Quarrie mash up rules (which seem to be working !). Full orbats lots of photos and even a set up video (oh look at you, down with the kids !) Enjoy, Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Yes, thank you for pointing out a mistake I made when I was 11 years old, one day I will get round to sorting the 50 plus battalions out. |

I am very interested in your mixing of GdB and Quarrie's rules. I always though that GdB is too homogeneous with respect to the behaviour of the different units, largely ignoring national characteristics, that Quarrie had mastered, though maybe too laboriously. Would you be willing to share your compendium? |

Looking great…. with action and fun for the players. I assume you needed to use some Italians (KOI) to full out the French ranks. |

Cheers, Kellerman, keep an eye on my blog, if everything goes all right with the game I will post the amendments. TMPWargamerrabbit, you are correct, explained in full in the blog post. Look closely you will find Russians masquerading as Spanish Generals, Brunswick Artillery covering for the Portuguese amongst others. Even with over 6000 15mm Napoleonic figures I don't have enough :-) Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Great looking stuff. That's some bloody good painting if you did them when you were 11. See Tango01 likes it too :) Tony |

Oh no, please tell me I haven't been Tango'd ! Where has he stuck the post ? It's almost a challenge to try and stop him by covering every possible board a post could go on and crosspost. I have clearly failed :-) Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

You get twice the coverage (Grin). Bless him, there is so much we would miss without him |

He's posted my Renaissance Gendarme to the Medieval Boards, sound of head hitting table. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

As an Irish born Yarkshire Lad (lived in N Yorks for 33 years now), I have learnt sometimes to "say nowt". Where would we be without him? Your Gendarmes may have been very early Renaissance after all….
and you will attract a whole new (if baffled) audience.

I enjoyed your video of the set up- a really good way to get a quick sense of the scope and players in the battle. Figures look great! I look forward to the report. |

I am impressed these figures were available when you were 11 – I thought you would be older than that. |
