Willys is a family and company name, just like Ford, who also manufactured jeeps.

I can just imagine an officer ordering his driver to "bring up my Willy."

I would imagine most drivers would disobey an order like that…

Yep, it's not a Jeep Willys, it's a Willys Jeep. Willys actually continued to make passenger cars for a few years after WW2. I remember seeing some when I was a kid.

Of course, now days Jeep is a brand name (owned by Fiat-Chrysler) and Willys is long gone. The Jeep name was passed from one company to another; I forget who Chrysler got it from, several years ago.

American Motors (AMC) owned the Jeep trademark before 1987. From whenever Kaiser-Willys gave it up.

But… are those good or not? (smile)
