I don't recall this happening in any of the old Star Wars flicks … so it must be one of the more recent ones, right? :)

Or is it from that Star Wars Christmas special in the 1970s?

Probably Episode 4, after the Cantina, on the way to the Hangar Bay, since Chewie was in the bar.

His being drunk would explain a lot of repair issues he seemed to have om the various episodes, with Han having to correct his work.

Who new Chewie was a drunk?

I think you might be right about it being after the visit to the Cantina!

PS. This other GIF has exactly the same background. I'm not sure what would get CP3O this drunk:

I think you will find it is the Star Wars cast guest appearance on The Muppet Show.

"I'm not sure what would get CP3O this drunk."

Probably an overvoltage.

Thresher0123 Sep 2018 6:05 p.m. PST

That's probably why the cantina owner doesn't allow droids in his establishment…….

Those are clips from "The Empire got Talent".

I think they are dancing on Jar-Jar's grave.

Who knew C-3PO had those kinda moves? He always appears so stiff in the films.

I agree this was The Muppet Show.

What was really funny (and fairly awkward) was watching Mark Hamill go back and forth between being himself and Luke Skywalker. And he was really a good sport about the joke that he didn't really do anything else.

No wonder the Wookiee can't dance. His feet are probably more like hands, right?

Yep, it's The Muppet Show.

"Who knew Chewie was a drunk?'

"Hair of the Wookie" is a real thing…
