Looking to get a few early medieval figures for skirmishes and like the look of either Essex or 1st Corps. However, Essex are £1.40 GBP for a mounted figure whereas 1st Corps are £3.00 GBP-5. Anyone help me make up my mind? link link |

I had Essex HYW and War of Roses armies. For what it's worth I really liked the figures. I sold them to a friend. |

Just realised Front Rank also do a HYW range, so they would fit in with 1st Corps: link |

If you look closely Essex don't include a horse for the £1.40 GBP. |

I think 1st Corps are much better figures, the flexibility for different heads is a good feature as well. |

Ah, thanks madmick – didn't realise that. Thanks also, Cerdic and foxweasel. |

I went with 1st Corps and more than happy, figures ordered on the 25th, arrived today! |
