Looks like all is not well in Iran, on the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War:

Apparently, some in the region are seeking to bring the conflict home to the Iranian military leadership, after tiring of being attacked by them and their proxies for so long.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards seem to have been especially targeted by the assailants.

Well, at least they attacked mostly soldiers, some or all of whom were probably armed.

The usual targets for these kinds of things seem to be civilians at prayer or out shopping.

ISIS claims responsibility.
Many victims were women and children.

Of course, USA is blamed too.

"Of course, USA is blamed too."

Unsurprising given that the US is supporting the ISIS / AQ forces in Idlib.

When you rule with a iron fist long enough you will get some who get this.

Deleted by Moderator Or citing a Russian troll's site. Black propaganda at best.

AQ, not ISIS, though of course how does one really know, since they are sometimes allied with one another.

Major Mike22 Sep 2018 5:14 p.m. PST

Idlib has been defused at the moment with an agreement between Syria and Turkey. We shall see if Turkey can implement their part of the agreement to the satisfaction of Syria and Russia. To the South, there are issues with the Free Syrian Army (with elements of AQ) that are backed by the US and allies. But, the FSA should not count on US commitment. Any question on that should be checked with the Kurds.

@ David Manley, the link you provided doesn't even mention the U.S., much less any links to ISIS or Al-Qaeda.

Well, I think Manley was replying to Winston, about his linked Yahoo article, which reads in part:

"The Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility for the rare assault in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, while Iranian officials blamed "a foreign regime" backed by the United States."
