Is there a good website for updated information on worlds' affair?

Not looking for main stream media (neither alt-facts / alt-reality extremist sites) but rather a website where people spend time to follow what is actually happening in the region covered.

I am interested in particular on
-Ukraine
-Far East
-Middle East

thank you

Define "good" site. Seriously.
There are no sites with impartial discussions about anything in the least bit political.
You can always find sites that you may consider "good" that will only reinforce your own views.

I was wondering about sites that take time to provide an analysis of the situation and what each party is trying to achieve and why.

Maybe that is too much to ask in our times of (dis-)information. :/

Probably too much to ask. I think it's up to the reader to work that out for themselves. However, if you want counter-balance to the usual Western narrative, try:

journal-neo.org
southfront.org
orientalreview.org
voltairenet.org/en

I tend to flit between Western media and these; the truth about what's happening probably lies somewhere inbetween :-)

BBC, npr is rather dodgy. France 24 is also reasonable. Also South China Morning Post(International Edition).

Nothing is impartial, but the BBC is one of the 'least worst'…

Janes would be the best source, but it is paywalled.

BBC, hmm, ok…

Grauniad, ok (and free)

thanks, will try these. Janes sounds like a good option
