This first story was passed on to me by Editor Gwen. She received an expletive-filled email from a former TMP member, who had asked for and received a refund of his Supporting Membership fees. The man says that PayPal refunded the money to him, but it is not in his account yet. He threatens to report us to PayPal! (Editor Gwen told him that his dispute is with PayPal, not with us at this point. After all, as he admits, we have already refunded the money using the PayPal procedure.) The second story is a PM I received from a disgruntled member who is resigning his membership because he is offended that the membership voted to require Basic Members to state their country of residence. (The only such PM I've received, I might add.) On further inspection, I determined that the "disgruntled member" was actually someone previously asked to leave TMP, who snuck in with a new account! Crazy people… as Editor Gwen says, you have to keep a sense of humor. |

You do read the comments don't you? There're plenty of people who don't care for the new and intrusive mandate. Maybe we're not sending PMs but I think our feelings are plenty clear. |

First, you're not a Basic Member, so why does it bother you? Second, this was something proposed and voted on by the TMP community. It was not initiated by TMP staff. If you don't like the policy, then wait for the vote to rescind (which has already been proposed). |

First, you're not a Basic Member, so why does it bother you? I am a Basic Member and it doesn't bother me. |

It is great to be anonymous. You can be as badly behaved as you like! |

That seems to be a frequent standard on the net … |

MajorB; I believe that a basic member has a a black box with TMP and three stars in yellow, next to the handle/name.Hmm, perhaps that is actually a supporting member symbol. |

If you don't like the mandate, lie about it. Jeez. What an easy solution. |

It is great to be anonymous. You can be as badly behaved as you like! How will putting your country of origin eliminate behaving badly? |

How will putting your country of origin eliminate behaving badly? Everyone will be sure not to make their country look bad, right? |

Which is like asking if Stalin thought he was a Bad Guy. "I'm going to sit right down and behave badly! And I'm anonymous! Bwahahaha! Oh, what is this? I have to state my country? Ok. I'll behave. Sorry." |

If you don't like the mandate, lie about it. Jeez. What an easy solution. Yes that is an easy fix … no one is really going to check, AFAIK. Or put down Area 51 ! |

First, you're not a Basic Member, so why does it bother you? If you believe something is unfair, is it not unfair if it doesn't affect you? |
