Does it surprise anyone else that FOG-N, Principles of War and Sharp Practice all have their own message boards, yet Black Powder doesn't? Like it or hate it, Black Powder is the white elephant in the room as probably the widest played Napoleonic rules out there.

The board entitled "Black Powder Fantasy" should also be renamed "Flintloque" or "Fantasy Horse & Musket" to make it clear that it has nothing to do with the Black Powder set of rules.

If you want such a Board, you're doing it wrong.
You have to ask in a Poll Suggestion thread.
Then, if Dear Editor deems it fit to conduct a Poll, He will schedule one.
Then, the Poll depends on 50 votes that the voters would "support" such a board. A majority is not needed, only 50 who would support it.

I don't remember if this has been a Poll before.
Me? I would not vote to "support" it. I don't particularly like it, and would have nothing to contribute. Please note that negative votes don't count for anything.

Thanks for the advice, done.

Flintloque might be the dominant rule set for black powder fantasy, but the genre is larger than that one rule set.
I'd support a Black Powder board, I simply don't find an argument in the form of; "They have it so we should have it," as appealing as one purely based on the merits of the case.

Based on criteria that was posted once upon a time -- and maybe still is -- the PoW board should have been eliminated long ago. I brought it up before and I believe Bill said that he had too much other stuff to do with the site to spend time deactivating the board.

No interest in BP. The fact that a fantasy version of these rules even exist is reason enough to reject them.

Uhm, so you reject DBx because Hordes of the Things exists?

I find Black Powder isn't a bad ruleset if you already have a good knowledge of the period. It's a terrible introductory ruleset, however.

I don't play Black Powder but think it deserves a board way before most of the other rules that do have them. Yes!

No. It's rubbish and should not be encouraged!
