I assume that Cook is well known in places like Hawaii, but I am curious as to how well known he is more generally in the US. He was a remarkable man. The picture (in the link on Rallynow's post) of the replica Endeavour with Whitby Abbey (where Stoker had Dracula come ashore) is wonderful. Thank you for that. |

Dr. Abbass has been pursuing this for years. It will be interesting to see if she's finally found proof. We know the ship was scuttled here, proving which wreck she is will be challenging. Since the bay is a very popular diving area, the proof may be on someone's mantle. |
