Would the various mercenaries serving in the War of the Roses; Burgundian, French, German, etc., wear their national origin livery, or the livery of the Lord they were fighting for in England?

Not much info out there that can say definitely either way, but general view I believe is that they would wear their own clothes and provide their own equipment as part of the contract. They would possibly wear some form of recognition in the form of coloured cloth or bands on their arms or helmets but it is unlikely that it would go beyond that because of the cost.

I could see a livery badge. They were evidently pretty cheap and mass-produced. But that's no help in most wargame scales. I think Vigilant's probably got the best idea.
