We had our first Kill Team campaign day today. There were more people there than I anticipated so I wasn't quite prepared for all the tables I would need to set up.

Still fun was had and quite a few people played today that had never played a GW game or a miniature game at all.

Here are some pics of the event. I will be posting battle reports later.

Pictors, how are you enjoying Kill Team? Do you think the game would work as a skirmish game on a 3x5 or 4x4 table?

Kill Team is okay, it isn't really my thing. If I'm going to do skirmish gaming I would rather do Infinity or Necromunda.

I think Kill Team would work well as a 1 day long skirmish campaign game between 2-4 people as a prep to a bigger 40K game the following week.

The system itself is a little boring as there are things to bring out the character of the models in the fight but not really enough there to have the depths of 40K in terms of interesting narrative for my taste. Nor is it cinematic in its play to the point where the game play itself is super interesting.

It isn't bad but anytime you take a big battle game and just tweak it to be with skirmishers you are going to lose something in the translation.

With more models, as a skirmish game, on a 4x4 table you might as well just play 40K with 2 squads and a character a side.

I'm running this because it seemed like other people wanted to do it. I prefer the weeks when we have Necromunda.
