Very good face painting.

So let us try to work out who he is.

He is a colonel.

Gold lace and paired square- ended style. Green facings and oval gilt plate on the crossbelt. Guess………11th North Devonshire Regt of Foot? Maybe 19th North Yorks?

The star on the belt plate, and white piping around collar cuffs and lapels all point to the Bloody 11th. Fantastic painting!

How interesting. The green facings and double lace was a clue. The star on the belt plate also suggested 11th. But I had never heard of the white edging to collar and cuffs. I thought the latter was unique to Guards (and white only for "Privates"). I honestly thought that was a slight error.
