I was wondering if there is some play experience and thoughts on this game. I read some reviews as BGG and look interesting. Ideal is to play with my son who is 9, or play with others in a relaxed environment – cafe? ;) Thanks in advance for opinion. I should add that a friend will be introduction me to C&C Napoleonics soon, so that is an alternative possibility. |

i haven't played the Waterloo game , but C&C is a great game and should play well in a cafe if the tables are large enough . luck is very important , both in the command cards you draw and in dice rolls . the combination could be frustrating for a 9 year old . we played last week , 1 scenario 3 times (in 2.5 hours) and we alternated sides . managed to get a French victory all 3 times in a scenario that the French lost historically . it sets up pretty quick , there are a lot of scenarios included in the base set . and one of the things i love most is the rules are simple enough that i don't need to re-read them every time we play :) |

I have played both – C&C would be better for the 9 year old |
