So, this little incident is certainly interesting, since it is believed that someone has drilled a hole in the side of the space station, to sabotage it. link Seems like it would be difficult for someone to do that from outside, given its location, and easy ability to track most interlopers that get nearby, sans space aliens. From what I've read, for some reason they feel the hole was drilled. If that is correct, it seems to rule out micrometeorites, and other space debris, which would have been my first guess. Some believe an inside job by the astronauts, or by personnel on the ground, before launch. I doubt the latter, given it was just recently noticed, and the no doubt very rigorous inspection process before launch, as well as how long it has been in space – probably would have been noticed before, and not just recently. So, who is trying to do it, if it is an inside job, and why? Are there little green, or gray men/women cruising up in stealth ships unnoticed, to eliminate the competition, so their top secret work on the moon can continue unhindered? Are the cosmonauts opposed to Putin, so he has to eliminate them, or is he trying to blame our astronauts for the sabotage, in the increasing political fight on the world stage? One of the Pussy Riot people has reportedly been poisoned, along with many, many others given poison or radioactive materials to kill them off prematurely, so the threat from that aspect is real, if you oppose Vladimir. Russians are being suggested as possibly injuring our personnel in Cuba and China with a microwave gun, or failed listening device, which injures their hearing and scrambles their brains, so….. My money's on a micrometeorite, or space debris. I suspect there are some other good, tongue in cheek theories out there too – some perhaps too hot to touch, which might get me in trouble if I mention them, so I'll leave that to others (hint – it's "his" fault, since everything is, including even apparently the latest hurricane hitting NC right now). Thoughts? The zanier the better. ;-) |

What is the relationship, if any between the space station incident and the current situation at the observatory at Alamogordo? link |

Hmmm, perhaps the space aliens that conducted the sabotage have fled there, since obviously, no one would suspect they'd fly there to get away. Or, it's being locked down so the cleaning crew can remove all the equipment and evidence of our new, operational, anti-space-station laser weapon. |

There are those on TMP, naming no names, to whom calling something a "conspiracy theory" only enhances its credibility. |

Lol. Then it must be true! They could be anywhere … and anyone!
Dan PS. Beware the sexy aliens! i.gifer.com/4usN.gif |

Of course, I don't know what happened, but "pilot error" seems most likely to me. That is, some sort of accident involving use of tools, etc, occurred, and most likely by one of the Cosmonauts themselves. Consider, the Russians first reported the problem and then started suggesting sabotage. Let us never forget the Soviets and "current" Russians NEVER admit to error. Their national sense of inferiority with the West, as well as conscious guilt, forbids them to take responsibility. Anyone remember the "Kursk?" We caused that, you'll recall. Remember the Dutch airliner blown out of the sky over Ukraine? Or the emigre's poisoned in the UK? For whatever my take is worth, if an "establishment" Russian tells you he's been "sabotaged," he means he effed up and he's not going to take the blame. TVAG |

The workman error and cover-up story seems most likely to me. According to the report the hole had been filled and covered with sealant which took several months to dry out and fail. Anyone who has been involved in the aviation industry can tell stories of similar hiding jobs of poor maintenance, some are found in time others cost lives. I discovered one myself while in the air force and got an entire fleet grounded for checking because the incident had obviously occurred during overhaul by the manufacturer prior to delivery. And yes we did find more instances of the same issue on other frames. Robert |

Anyone who has been a supervisor in a manufacturing environment can tell you similar stories about workers screwing up and then trying to cover it up. I have a few myself. |

It's space weevils, yeah, that's it, space weevils… (Or according to Chekov, it's "space wessels", but weasels would be too big… ;-) |

When my Dad had gas he would sniff the air loudly and blame us kids for doing such a foul thing. Took us years to finally realize that it was him. The one that first noticed it coincidentally. |

Has anyone noticed if there was one less astronaut? Maybe it was part of a murder, which they would certainly try to cover up. Really, what nation wants to be the first one to have a murderer in space? Dan

Well, first they said it was metorite, then sabotage, then a metorite. It was small hole, easily fixed, that probably provided the astronauts with a break from the daily routine and the media with a headline. Six months from now it will be totally forgotten. |

In the meantime … There are tiny unidentifiable "human" bits floating out into space, where the brave Cosmonauts were able to expel their comrade before he was fully taken over by some alien organism. Dan PS. Yes. I just watched the film Life (2017) a few hours ago. It explains everything. :)

The drill poked out a bit more and went through the non-airtight "meteor shield". That worker must have had a real skin full at work that day. And there are allegedly signs of more drilling. "No we are not accusing American. Of course we are not accusing Americans. Even if it was a Black and Decker cordless drill. No we are not accusing Americans. Yet. Let's get all the facts first before we accuse Americans." |

Could have been us, with our ground-based laser at the "observatory", where a Spetsnaz team was recently caught by the Feds, flying in on black, unmarked helos…… |

A forensic sorcerer could solve this very easily, using the Laws of Similarity and Contagion. Why has one not been employed? |

Tiny alien demolition charge to gain entry into the space station? |

Perhaps the aliens aren't so tiny. Dan
